ELAbestLog is the emerging European platform for sharing best practise in logistics to improve the supply chain performance in Europe. Financed by the European Commission the bestLog Project has demonstrated the importance of improving supply chain practise in the Europe. This will be done by applying best practise to improve the economic and environmental performance.
The key outcome of the project is a platform to remain in place after the Project is complete to build upon what has been learnt so far and to encourage sustainable logistics as a way forward. This Platform, ELAbestLog, will be operated as a subsidiary of the European Logistics Association [ELA a not for profit Europe wide federation of Association for logistics professional www.elalog.org1.
The services will be at a charge due to that the ELAbestLog Platform has to be financially self supporting however this will be kept to a minimum and aimed to make participation affordable.
ELAbestLog features will include the ELAbestLog Community as a forum for sharing best practise, a range of useful products to help identify and apply best practise and core reference material.
ELAbestLog will go live on 1st March 2010. Until then visit www.elabestlog.org where you will be directed to a temporary facility.
From 1st March 2010 everyone will be able to register online www.elabestlog.org .
If you currently belong to an ELA National Member Association, you will receive a ELAbestLog NMA Membership code which will allow you to enrol to the Community Area for free of charge. If not you will be charged an annual community fee which can be paid online. Once
you register the ELAbestLog Community will be at your fingertips. You will have access to the following:
